MINDEX: What to do if an Error occurs.

MINDEX contains an extensive error logging system and every error is logged wether or not it is fatal. Fatal means that it stops the program from running.   It is a term of the license agreements that these error logs are sent on to Medistat at regular intervals.

If you consistently experience a program error, (see note re Error 5 below) please email a brief description of how you can cause the error to support@medistat.co.nz  You should attach the file ERROR.LOG which is held in \MINDEX.DAT on your server to Medistat.

If you have a query about where the \MINDEX.DAT folder is, press 's' from the MINDEX Main Menu and about half way down that screen, you will see an entry 'Data directory'.

Error 5. This is more often than not caused by invaid data in your data files. Before advising Medistat, please undertake the following tasks and if the problem continues, advise us asap. These tasks are:

This error 5 is designed into the system to trap data problems and very rarely occurs as a result of program design flaws.
