MINDEX: 'Already Installed' Message at Startup.

This error occurs when an attempt to run the same startup file is made from more than one workstation. When implemented, every workstation has a different startup file, ie: each desktop icon calls a unique startup file.

These startup files are all .BAT files with the suffix of the license number of that particular workstation. Each workstation has a unique license number in the range of 620000 to 729999.

For example, one workstation will call 620001.BAT whilst another will call 620002.BAT etc. No two workstations should call the same startup file. If they do then you will get this error message. This whole system is to prevent multiple file lockings happening and is also to ensure that each license can only be run once.

These startup files all reside in the common folder called \MINDEX.SYS. Please note that although there is a matching .EXE startup file (eg: 620001.EXE), the icon MUST call the .BAT file.

After any reconfiguration, you may be asked for a new pass key number. Telephone Medistat (see 'Contact Details' on our home page for phone number) and we will issue you the new pass key.
