MINDEX: Appointment Data Export.
From version v08.03.20, the printing of an appointment letter can also produce an 'advice' file for importing into PAS/HISS systems. The destination of that file can be defined in the configuration file and it is possible to export it in either Sequential or HL7 format. The filename can be derived from any valid patient data and the suffix of the exported file can also be user defined.
For example, an export based upon the local hospital number could be 0123456.APT where 0123456 was the hospital number. The export file can be defined to contain any valid data from the patient record within MINDEX in either of the above formats.
A new file is produced whenever an appointment letter is printed. Note that this is NOT an ordering or tracking system, it is merely an appointment advice mechanism and has been developed to satisfy the simple needs of the majority of the MINDEX users. It is a one-way data data transfer and does not depend upon 'receipts' or other such return advises from PAS.
This routine is available as an add-on option and costs 275.00 +VAT per PC.
If any more complex mechanisms or alternative file structures are required, these can be developed as 'one-off' projects.
